Goodson Swats 3 Homers: Green Bay Bullfrogs first baseman Ed Goodson had a magnificent game against the Roanoke Magicians today, rocketing three balls out of Big Top Stadium to help the Bullfrogs take the 6-2 victory.

"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."

For the game, Goodson went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Green Bay manager Frank Howard said later. "Seems like Ed found his home run stroke today."

Ed Goodson hit a two-run home run off Fred Blanding in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Fred Blanding in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Fred Blanding in the 7th.

This year Goodson is batting .352 with 26 home runs.
