Shreveport Punchless in 10-0 Loss to Bunchgrassers: Dave Stewart of the Spokane Bunchgrassers spun his magic on the Shreveport Swamp Dragons today. He blanked them 10-0 on 2 hits, registering 7 strikeouts and 3 walks.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Stewart said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Spokane skipper Tim Marshall said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."
"Dave pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.
This year Stewart has a 7-5 record and a 3.10 ERA.
