Murphy Sizzles -- Smokes Yankees for 5 Hits: Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Stephen Murphy of the Wappingers Falls Renegades had one of those moments when he went 5-for-8 at the plate today in the 12-11 win over the Oneonta Yankees at Damaschke Field.

"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 23-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."

Stephen Murphy grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 10th, hit a two-run single in the 11th and struck out in the 14th.

For the season, Murphy is hitting at a .395 clip with 1 home run, 17 RBIs and has scored 18 runs. He has 32 hits, 10 walks and a .474 on-base percentage.
