Message:
van den Hombergh Wins Award for 3A Dominance: Barry van den Hombergh said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 22 years old.

But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Syracuse Storm rising star has won the M3L Single A Reliever of the Year Award for 2048.

He captured the award on the strength of his 1.13 ERA over 39.2 innings. He also had 10 saves in 38 relief appearances, 58 strikeouts and only 4 walks.

He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jeff Lynch of the Cut Off Crawdads finished second in voting, while Nelson Carrasco of the Put-In-Bay Commodores finished third.
