Year Over for Hawks Johns: Doctors in Chicago said John Johns might not play anymore this year. The Hawks reliever suffered a torn tendon in his elbow during a game against the Twin Cities Northmen and will be out for at least 12 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.

This season Johns has been credited with no saves. In 13 relief appearances and 20.2 innings he has a 0-1 won-lost mark, a 4.79 ERA and 14 strikeouts.
