Year Ends for Woody Roberts in Dayton: When Woody Roberts was hurt against the Lansing Lugnuts, the Dayton Dragons were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 24-year-old starting pitcher suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Roberts would miss 8-9 months of the season.

To date this season, Roberts has registered 10 starts, 1-4 won-lost mark, 6.86 ERA, 42 IP, 47 strikeouts and 18 walks. Opposing teams have hit .236 against him.
