Wild Card Series Goes the Distance, Ogden Prevails: Rookie Advanced - U24 fans were certainly not disappointed with this Pioneer League Wild Card Series.

The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the Ogden Raptors prevailing over the Medicine Hat Stampede to advance to the League Championship Series.

Ogden won the final game by a score of 5-2 at Lindquist Field and that sealed the series 3-2.

"Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said first baseman Adrian Day, who earned MVP honors.

For the series, Day hit .286 with a .286 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 5 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Ogden Raptors will play against the Calgary Cannons in the next round. Calgary won their series against the Casper Ghosts 3 games to 0. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
