Ward Rips Toronto (GCL) for 5 Hits: Chicago N (AZL) Cubs first baseman Dan Ward went 5-for-6 today and paced Chicago N (AZL) to a 30-7 victory over the Toronto (GCL) Blue Pirates at Champion Stadium.

Dan Ward struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Colie Currie in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Daniel Dominguez in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
So far this season Ward has put up a .419 batting average with 52 hits, 6 home runs and 40 RBIs.
