Utica Loses John Rodmell for Season: When Utica third baseman John Rodmell was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Unicorns-Whalers game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Rodmell had sustained a damaged elbow ligament and will be out for about 7 months.

This year Rodmell is batting .219 with 16 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 11 times and has batted in 12 runs.
