Tourists Hitless Against Donnelly: In a dominant outing, Ron Donnelly of the Lexington Platinum totally silenced the bats of the George Town Tourists, finishing with a no-hitter.

In the Platinum ' 10-0 victory, Donnelly faced only 30 batters, surrendered no hits, had 12 strikeouts and 4 walks.

"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Lexington manager said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."

Commenting on the defeat, losing manager had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.

"The Platinum had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Donnelly pitched a heck of a ballgame."

On his stats sheet for the year Donnelly shows a 6-3 record, 13 starts, 79.1 innings, 87 strikeouts and a 2.61 ERA.
