Top Pitcher Trophy Won by Dust Devils Adams: Xavier Adams walked away with the top pitching honors in the Northwest League this year. The Tri-City Dust Devils starter was named the Pitcher of the Year Award winner for 2023 earlier today.
This outstanding 22-year-old hurler fashioned a fine 8-2 won-lost record in 15 starts. He threw 97.2 innings, giving up 56 hits and 32 walks and holding opponents to a .166 average. Adams struck out 100 and posted a 1.11 ERA. He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jason Jefferson of the Spokane Indians finished second in voting, while Dave McClain of the Boise Hawks finished third.
