Top NYP Hurler Honors Go to Walls: He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Mark Walls performed like a veteran on the hill for the Brooklyn Cyclones and walked away with the New York-Penn League Pitcher of the Year Award in the process.

The 21-year-old Cyclones star fashioned a 5-2 won-loss record in 2023 with a 0.94 ERA. In 48 innings of work and 8 starts, Walls struck out 34 while giving up 26 hits and 10 walks. He held opposing batters to a .152 average.

He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 14. Jeff Benjamin of the Aberdeen Ironbirds finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Bartolo Díaz of the Hudson Valley Renegades finished third.
