Message:
Top NWL Reliever Honored: Nolan McBride said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 24 years old.

But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Boise Hawks rising star has won the Northwest League Reliever of the Year Award for 2023.

He captured the award on the strength of his 0.30 ERA over 30.1 innings. He also had 27 saves in 30 relief appearances, 50 strikeouts and only 8 walks.

He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Tom Taylor of the Hillsboro Hops finished second in voting, while Nick Paciorek of the Vancouver Canadians finished third.

Player - Team - First Place - Total Points
Nolan McBride - Boise Hawks - 8 - 40
Tom Taylor - Hillsboro Hops - 0 - 24
Nick Paciorek - Vancouver Canadians - 0 - 5
Bill Benson - Tri-City Dust Devils - 0 - 3
