Taveras Rips Dunedin for 5 Hits: It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Leody Taveras of the Jupiter Hammerheads. Taveras went on a tear at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium and cracked hit after hit off Dunedin pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 23-year-old center fielder had a career 5-for-6 day and something he will long remember.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview.

Despite Taveras's personal accolades, the Dunedin Blue Jays walked off the field with the 13-12 win.

Leody Taveras grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jacob Wallace in the 9th.

Taveras is batting at a .287 pace this season, picking up 108 hits in 376 at-bats with 11 home runs, 56 RBIs and 84 runs scored.
