Swing! Swang! Swung! Sabato Smashes 3 HR: Aaron Sabato brutalized the Bowie Baysox pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 11-10 victory at Peoples Natural Gas Field. The Altoona Curve first baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day.
"I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one."
For the game, he went 3-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"Too much Aaron Sabato today," Baysox manager Matt Tuiasosopo said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to."
Aaron Sabato grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ryan Sims in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ryan Sims in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Matt Ware in the 9th.
Currently Sabato has 35 home runs and a .262 batting average.
