Super Swinger -- Herrera Slams 5 Hits: Even as a kid, Marcos Herrera said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At PepsiCo Park today, Herrera showed how well he learned that lesson.

The 26-year-old second baseman had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the Chicago Cubs, helping his team knock off the Indianapolis Clowns by a score of 9-3.

"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today."

Marcos Herrera flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a three-run triple in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Drew Bohn in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Herrera is hitting .225 this year with 1 home run and 13 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .278, 7 walks and scored 12 times.
