Spartans Spank Titans, 13-0: Fred Baan pitched a strong game at Goodwin Field today, blanking the Cal State Fullerton Titans 13-0. Baan allowed no runs on 4 hits, totaled 3 strikeouts and gave up 1 walk.
San Jose State manager Roy Burns said he could tell immediately it was going to be a good game for Baan.
"Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," Burns said. "He threw a lot of strikes."
