Smoky Mountain Loses Albert Monday, Will Miss Season: Albert Monday of the Hobeaus just might have to call it quits for the season. The 22-year-old Smoky Mountain center fielder received a possible season-ending injury against the Huntington Hermit Crabs recently at Smokies Stadium. Monday suffered a broken bone in the elbow while making a defensive play. The Hobeaus medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 9 months.

Monday is hitting .190 for the season with 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 16 hits in 84 at-bats and played in 31 games.
