Season-Ending Injury for Andy Felt: The doctors have spoken and Andy Felt of the Los Angeles Dodgers didn't like what he heard. The 32-year-old closer is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Felt sustained his season-ending injury during the San Francisco Giants game yesterday at Dodger Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Los Angeles medical staff reported Felt had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8 months.

Up to this point in the season, Felt has put up these stats: 19 relief appearances, 3 saves, 25.1 IP, 29 strikeouts and 2.13 ERA. His won-lost record is 4-1 with the opposition is hitting .185 against him.
