Season Ends for Philip Collins of Greeneville: Philip Collins has to call it a season. The Greeneville Reds starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Bristol Pirates and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Collins was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a damaged elbow ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 13 months.

Over the season Collins has thrown 40.1 innings and dished out 28 strikeouts with a 3-2 mark and a 4.02 ERA.
