Seahawks End Justano's Streak: It was a doubly miserable day today for Fernando Justano of the Stratford Northwestern Huskies, as he saw his 22-game hitting streak end and his team lose 11-6 to the South River Seahawks at Varsity Field. The 16-year-old third baseman was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Seahawks.

"Anyone on a 22-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," South River manager Ervin Santana said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done."

Presently Justano is batting .399 with 148 hits and 19 home runs. He has knocked in 97 runs and scored 94 times.
