SAL Pitcher of the Year Award Winner Announced: Anthony Gordon of the Delmarva Shorebirds impressed voters as one of the elite pitchers in the South Atlantic League this year. He capped off a sensational 14-4 season by taking home the coveted Pitcher of the Year Award today.
Making 27 starts, he tossed 157 innings, struck out 162, walked 30 and registered a 2.58 ERA.
He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 14. Daniel West of the Delmarva Shorebirds finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Michael Sasse of the Hickory Crawdads finished third.
