Royals Lose Sezgin for Season: Özdemir Sezgin has to call it a season. The Kansas City Royals second baseman sustained a season-ending injury against the Colorado Rockies and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Sezgin was injured while running the bases. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn anterior cruciate ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 9 months.

On the year Sezgin has hit .280 with 6 home runs, 25 RBIs and scored 21 runs.
