Rowe Socks It to Demons, Cracks 5 Hits: Marcus Rowe exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Blair Field.
The Long Beach State left fielder had a field day in the 10-8 triumph over the Northwestern State Demons, finishing 5-for-5.
"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."
Rowe must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Marcus Rowe singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
Looking at his stats this year, Rowe has compiled a .281 batting average, while hitting 9 home runs and driving in 32 runs. He has played in 59 games and scored 41 runs.
