Robson Hurls Clippers to 4-0 Shutout Win: Tom Robson hurled a fine game for the Columbus Clippers at Huntington Park today, holding the Syracuse Chiefs to 3 hits in a shutout win.

"When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Columbus manager Ben Zobrist said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is."

The right-hander had 7 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 4-0 victory.

"An outstanding job," Syracuse manager Billy Gardner Jr. said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game."

Thus far this season Robson has posted a 7-5 record, started 19 games, struck out 95 batters in 108.1 innings and compiled a 3.99 ERA.
