Ricciardo Spano Injured, Out for Season: The doctors have spoken and Ricciardo Spano of the Tijuana Saltamontes didn't like what he heard. The 29-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Spano sustained his season-ending injury during the Thunder Bay Avengers game yesterday at Spring Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Tijuana medical staff reported Spano had a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 15 months.
