Recovery Slow for Obeliscos Chia-ch'ing Chiang: Chia-ch'ing Chiang, starting pitcher for the Barquisimeto Obeliscos, was making great progress in healing a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament according to a team spokesman, but suffered a setback yesterday. "Chia-ch'ing was doing great in his rehab until he overdid it in a recent workout. Now doctors say it will be at least 11-12 months before he will be able to rejoin the club."

Chia-ch'ing Chiang is expected to undergo surgery in Barquisimeto(Lara) tomorrow.
