Rangers Crowned Kings of the West: Jake Gelof said it takes "a lot of dedication and sacrifice" to win a division title. That's why he and his Surprise (TEX) Rangers teammates were so excited to celebrate their West championship today.
"It's been a team effort all year long," he said. "You don't get to this point without the guys in the room believing in what we're doing."
That belief has paced the club to a 40-23 record on the season. It is the club's 3rd West championship and puts them in position for their 2nd Arizona League championship.
"It's a talented bunch in that room," manager Ryan Verdugo said pointing to his celebrating players. "I wouldn't bet against us."
