Profar Sits Out with Day-to-Day Injury: The topic du jour around Colorado is whether Jurickson Profar of the Rockies will suit up for today's contest. He was injured yesterday against the Diamondbacks while throwing the ball. The standout 29-year-old second baseman has a sore elbow and didn't rule out playing, but did say that if pain persisted, he would not risk further injury.

"Jurickson will play if he can," said the team doctor. "He hasn't got a major injury, but at the same time, we need to monitor the situation and protect him as much as possible."

So far this season Profar has gotten 147 hits in 469 at-bats for a .313 batting average with 9 home runs. His stats include 49 RBIs and 77 runs scored. He has played in 120 games.
