Pickle Advances to Round 2: The Pickle Pickers are riding high after winning the Round 1 and eliminating the Granville Greyhounds by a series score of 3-1.

The final blow came tonight at Lemurs Ballpark, when Pickle secured its spot in the Round 2 with a 4-0 victory.

"It feels good to put them away because we really didn't want to let them crawl back into this series," said right fielder Ray Campbell, who was named series MVP. "A team like that, you need to bury them when you get the chance."

Campbell certainly helped his team's cause, as he hit .500 with a .500 on-base percentage in the series. He also chipped in 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Pickle Pickers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Sonoran Jackrabbits - Green Bay Huskies series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
