Patrick Raps 3 HR Against Sinners: Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, John Patrick can celebrate.

The Eau Claire Esquires first baseman powered three into the stands at Legion Ball Park today against the Surrey Sinners.

"It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Patrick told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one."

In all, he was 3-for-5 as the Esquires toppled Surrey by a score of 15-8, knocking in 7 runs and scoring 3 times.

"He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Eau Claire manager Tony Collins said. "He gets the ball up in the air."

John Patrick hit a two-run home run off Aaron Coughlin in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Aaron Coughlin in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off John Brooks in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th.

Hitting .273 to date, Patrick has 4 home runs and 8 RBIs. He has played in 12 games.
