PCL Player of the Week Goes to Tarapu of Knoxville: It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Pacific Coast League, but last week Owa Tarapu of the Knoxville Johnnys reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Tarapu rocked opposing pitching for a .462 average (12-for-26), 4 home runs and 11 RBIs to come away with the award.

In this current campaign Tarapu is hitting at a .355 clip with 15 home runs and 52 RBIs.
