As part of the deal, the Athletics swapped $50,000 in cash to the Dodgers getting 29-year old 2B Enrico DeLeón and 22-year old minor league C Jeff Monken Jr. in return. The players indicated it was good to get a fresh new start in another city, but it was difficult to leave your friends on the old team.
