Norfolk Shuts Out Scranton WB Behind Heredia, 3-0: The Scranton WB RailRiders were almost helpless today in their 3-0 loss to the Norfolk Tides and hurler Ramón Heredia. Heredia kept the RailRiders confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to Heredia," Scranton WB manager Don Mattingly said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 22-year-old left-hander had 3 walks and 4 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Heredia said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."

To date this season, Heredia has registered 1 starts, 2-1 won-lost mark, 1.98 ERA, 41 IP, 34 strikeouts and 22 walks. Opposing teams have hit .201 against him.
