New Orleans's Alexander Injured, Out of Lineup: Jerry Alexander of the New Orleans Pelicans was injured in today's game against New York and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is an oblique strain, and he is expected to be out for up to 3 weeks. It happened while Alexander was running the bases. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field."

So far this season Alexander has 15 home runs and a .289 batting average.
