Message:
Musketeers Small Stops Longhorns: It wasn't easy but the Xavier Musketeers made it look that way.

Starter Ronald Small shut out the Texas Longhorns despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Xavier Musketeers cruised to victory, 5-0. Small allowed only 1 hit and rang up 19 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

On the year Small has worked 50.1 innings with 77 strikeouts en route to a 2-4 record and 3.40 ERA.
