Mountaineers on to League Championship Series: The Erwin Mountaineers out-dueled and outgunned the Fayetteville Frogs in the Wild Card Series and are on to the next round.
Erwin won the final game 6-5 at Ballpark of Edmonton and the series 3-1.
Yesus Vincente was named series MVP for a strong offensive performance during the Wild Card Series. He had a .312 average with a .312 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 3 runs.
"I was seeing the ball well and glad to help my team out and get us to the League Championship Series," he said.
