Morel Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games: Win or lose, Christopher Morel just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games.

The Frederick Keys shortstop went 2-for-3 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 9-6 by the Inland Empire 66ers at Harry Grove Stadium.

"It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him."
Christopher Morel doubled in the 1st, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Juan Hillman in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.

Morel has a .289 average and a .369 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 94 hits, 22 home runs and driven in 77 runs.
