Moca Loses Ji-hoon Hwang, Will Miss Season: The doctors have spoken and Ji-hoon Hwang of the Moca Storm didn't like what he heard. The 28-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Hwang sustained his season-ending injury during the Akita Magnets game yesterday at Ballpark of Moca. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Moca medical staff reported Hwang had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6 months.

This year Hwang has fashioned a 0-1 mark, 1.80 ERA and pitched 15 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .204 against him and he has logged 9 strikeouts.
