Medrano Batters Indiana State Big Time: It was a sensational day at the plate for Pablo Medrano as he led the charge to a 8-4 win over the Sycamores. The USC shortstop was pure misery for the Indiana State pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Medrano put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Tom Henderson, manager for the Sycamores, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Pablo Medrano singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 8th.
So far this year Medrano is hitting .321 with 3 home runs.
