McMahon Strokes 3 HR Against Houston: At Oriole Park at Camden Yards today, Ryan McMahon hit homer after homer after homer. But they didn't add up to enough to beat the Houston Astros as the Baltimore Orioles went down to defeat, 11-8.

"It was a good game for me, not so good for our team," the Baltimore third baseman said. "I got lucky. I made some good swings on some pitches. We just didn't put up one in the win column."

On his monumental day, he had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 5 runs, and scored 3 times.

"The third one was totally unexpected," McMahon told reporters after his extraordinary game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get another home run and bang, I got number three."

Ryan McMahon hit a two-run home run off Reynaldo Lopez in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Pedro Avila in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Javy Guerra in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.

On the season, McMahon is batting .230 with 17 home runs and 67 RBIs. He has played in 130 games.
