Mariners Alemais Suspended: A press release issued by the league stated that Mariners shortstop Stephen Alemais was suspended for "confronting a game official" after yesterday's Seattle-Houston at Minute Maid Park.
In the statement the league said, "This is totally unacceptable behavior and will be dealt with harshly."
Alemais had a run-in with the home plate umpire during the game and was ejected for vehemently objecting to a third strike.
