Lindsey Cracks 3 HRs for Princeton: Princeton Rays first baseman Joe Lindsey almost did it all today. He sent three shots out of the ballpark, scored 3 times and drove in 8 runs and had 3 hits in 3 at-bats.

The one thing he could not do, however, was lead the Rays to victory. The Elizabethton Twins escaped with the 9-8 win by the Elizabethton despite being on the receiving end of the barrage from Lindsey.

"I'd be lying if I said I didn't like hitting three homers, but losing takes a little glitter off the game," he admitted to BNN writers after the game.

Joe Lindsey hit a two-run home run off David Gustave in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off David Gustave in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Nick Johnson in the 5th and walked in the 7th.

"When someone hits three home runs, you put yourself in a tough position to win," said Princeton manager Juan Cuevas. "We were lucky to win this one. I don't think it matters how hard you throw, especially in the Appalachian League. If you leave a ball out over the plate to good Rookie Advanced - U24 hitters, if they get a bead on you and you leave it over the middle, they're probably going to take a good hack at it."

This season Lindsey is hitting at a .256 pace with 11 home runs, 29 RBIs and has scored 24 times.
