Lewis Jr. silenced the Minnesota Twins, 6-0, in a Oakland Athletics triumph at O.co Coliseum today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Lewis Jr. said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 3 hits.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
Currently Lewis Jr. has a 3-18 won-lost record in 29 starts with a 5.64 ERA. He also has 112 strikeouts in 167.2 innings.
