Lee Slams 5 Hits for Kissimmee: Kissimmee third baseman Bascom Lee had a big day at Champion Stadium today against the Pompano Beach Aqua Sox. The 19-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led the Kumquats to a 25-1 triumph over Pompano Beach.

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Lee said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."

Bascom Lee singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th, doubled in the 9th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.

So far this year, Lee is batting .341 with no home runs and 9 RBIs.
