League Suspends Gabbert and Thompson for Fisticuffs: Brett Gabbert of the Eugene Emeralds and Norm Thompson of the Boise Hawks will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 3 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Emeralds-Hawks game at Memorial Stadium.

Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Gabbert and Thompson will begin serving them soon.

In 53 games this season Gabbert has batted at a .274 pace with 54 hits and 1 home run.

So far this year Thompson has 5 wins and 1 loss and a 2.35 ERA.
