Laslett Goes Downtown 3 Times Against Tar Heels: Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Utes-Tar Heels game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball.

Utah shortstop Homer Laslett thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Utah to a 8-7 win over North Carolina.

"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Laslett said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run."

Laslett was 4-for-4 on the day with 8 runs batted in.

Homer Laslett hit a two-run home run off Jeff Trent in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Jeff Trent in the 5th and hit a three-run home run off Thomas Shepard in the 7th.

Laslett is hitting .345 so far this season with 34 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 41 hits including 12 home runs, 16 walks and .419 OBP.
