Kilome Sizzles, Charleston Fizzles: In an excellent mound performance, Franklyn Kilome of the Atlanta Bandits whitewashed the Charleston Rebels 4-0 on a 4-hitter.
"I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game.
In all, the Atlanta hurler rang up 11 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout win.
"We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Rebels manager Brian Sweeney. "Kilome did a good job keeping us guessing."
Kilome has a 12-1 season record so far. In 19 starts, he has fanned 173 batters in 132.2 innings with a 2.58 ERA.
