Kearney of Tallahassee Named WL Best Skipper: Jimmy Kearney, skipper of the Tallahassee Thunder, was voted 2050 Walker League Manager of the Year and accepted the award earlier today.
He guided Tallahassee to first place in the Walker League Naval Division with a 81-39 record.
"I'm very happy about this," he said at the press conference. "But I'm more happy about what my boys did on the field. They battled their butts off for me all year. They should get the credit."
