Kansas First Baseman Picked SAAA Player of the Week: 24-year-old Carter Stanley made a few Kansas headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Triple A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.

He cracked 7 hits in 13 at-bats to put up a .538 average. Stanley collected 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs.

This year Stanley is batting .370 with 20 hits, 4 home runs, 12 RBIs, 3 walks, .397 OBP and has scored 8 runs.
